Mountain Select Properties of Ashe, in truth, had a pretty basic beginning several years ago, a simple thought at the time, actually more like an wishful dream of Walt Petersen, Founder, Owner and Broker in Charge. The dream was all about having his own real estate firm, with a special group of experienced Brokers, a well respected team of professionals, all guided by the "Golden Rule", doing business in that certain way, ethically, and always with honesty and integrity.
From the beginning, there was of course doubt, questions asked with no real answers, but within the dream persisted over the years and thus became a reality…Mountain Select Properties of Ashe, and today…ERA Mountain Select Properties. Blessed with invaluable experiences and knowledge gained in 20+ years as an Ashe County Broker, and six informative years at Regency Properties, as Co-Owner and Broker in Charge, Walt found developing and transitioning into the new business much easier than originally anticipated. Yes there where challenges, but also great joy experienced as the business plan developed and the right opportunities appeared, allowing everything to come together just as hoped.
A casual conversation with a friend led to a "home" for the firm and special friends in Amy and Doug Spell. Always admiring the creativity and WOW colors of local artist R.T. Morgan, encouraged a question of this friend and thus led to our original impact logo. A simple "graphics" experience became our source of advertising expertise, the creativity of Kim Hadley. Admiring some local signage brought the talents of Appalachian Signs, and Laura and Sara to us…arrow, land signs, and their most proud "home" office sign. With Walt’s blessings they all came together again, to help, as new plans became the “new” ERA Mountain Select Properties. Yes, ERA Mountain Select Properties has been truly, truly blessed by the Lord, and these very special people and equally special experiences together.
Supporting Walt at ERA Mountain Select Properties is a TEAM of experienced professionals, all dedicated, self motivated and totally supportive of each other. Brokers John Edmonds, Beverly Black, Irene Sabol and Helen Leserra, and Office Manager Susie Baldwin are proud and excited to call ERA Mountain Select Properties "home".
